Here’s a quick story…I had a couple that was putting their girls through Virginia Tech all at the same time and were convinced that they couldn’t even look at homes for another 4 years…well…they’ve been enjoying their lake home for 2 years already. They spoke to their bank, tweaked some things at home, and didn’t even have to switch to a peanut butter and jelly diet 🙂 Imagine that!
Here’s another one...we bought our FIRST LAKE HOME…when we were in our 30’s and I was a laid-off programmer when the company I worked for decided to go bankrupt instead of IPO during the Dot Com Bust….so it CAN be done….

I have a a list of: THE LEAST EXPENSIVE PROPERTIES ON THE WHOLE OF SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE…this list includes doublewides, singlewides, undesireables, etc… These are “single family” waterfront homes up to $499,999
AND THERE ARE ONLY 100 OF THEM LEFT…
and some of these aren’t even worth buying! [but rather than me removing them, we’ll look at those on a case-by-case basis]
